Global retailer JD Sports has extended its partnership agreement with Australian football club the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The decision came after the companies successful alignment with the soccer club during its recent match against English football club Arsenal.
The sponsorship deal will see JD Sports partner with the Western Sydney Wanderers throughout the whole 17/18 Hyundai A-League season.
JD’s partnership coincides with the continued success that the company has had throughout Western Sydney, with current stores in Miranda and Parramatta.
JD Sports Australia head Hilton Seskin said the alignment between the club and JD had already yielded strong results.
“Both our Sydney locations saw unprecedented hype and interest from consumers eager to see our showcase of the best product and by leveraging the retail theatre that JD Sports is known for globally.
“The introduction of our partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers for this launch activity added additional attendance, with hundreds coming out across both launches for their chance to meet the players.
“JD is excited to continue the partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers. The Wanderers are a club that perfectly align with the JD consumer with a very passionate fan base.
“The partnership gives JD an authentic link to the Western Sydney community.”
